Still rebuilding

Chance has been working all week on mudding. Am thinking about having a painting party next weekend, I'm off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hopefully I can get people to come by and help me, hint hint!! : ) But really, still have to pick final colors.

He turned the water on today and had his friend look to make sure there weren't any leaks. Everything looked good he said, I'm a little surprised about that, but OH WELL, won't turn down anything good!!

I called Eric Lovell the other day to see about getting an estimate for central heat and air, he said he would let me know when he could come by!

We were actually talking the other day about doing something terrible, moving in asap instead of when everything is done. I really don't want to, but saving $400 a month would really enable us to get things done so we can get a loan to get all the major stuff done!!

I haven't been over in a while, and don't have another day off until then, so won't be able to put any pics up before then!

Rebuilding Phase

So the house is now in rebuilding phase. Chance has already taken down all the exterior plaster walls, and sheetrocked them. He also removed the wall in the kitchen so that it is open to the living room. I'm not too sure how I feel about it.

Almost makes it feel smaller, as if we went from to small rooms, to one room that's not any bigger. We (for future reference, when I saw we I probably mean Chance) are also adding soffits. These are just a lowering of the ceiling over the cabinets so that we can have can lighting. Chance and his dad are making cabinets. They have already cut the wood, and Chance says they should be done by next week. We will have to order doors from homedepot or something because Greg doesn't have a machine that makes them
